What age groups do you care for?

We welcome children from 2 to 4 years old. Our teacher-led preschool environment is specifically designed to inspire, care for, and prepare your little ones for their next big step into primary school.

Where are you located?

You can find us at the 2nd Romiley Scout Hut, Hatherlow Wharf, Stockport (SK6 4BB). We feature a fantastic, versatile space with plenty of room for children to explore both inside and outdoors.

Do you accept government funding?

Yes! We accept 2, 3, and 4-year-old funding as well as various childcare grants. If you are unsure what your child is entitled to, please get in touch and we can help you figure out your options.

What are your rates for paid-for hours?

For hours that are not covered by government funding, our rate is £5 per hour. We believe in keeping high-quality early education affordable and transparent for our families.

Are there extra charges for trips, snacks, or activities?

No, our extras are completely free! Inclusivity is at the heart of Little Learners. We pride ourselves on ensuring that every child gets to experience every single trip, visitor, and special activity without asking parents for extra payments. Snack and milk are also provided free of charge. We just ask parents to send your little ones in with a drink, packed lunch and nappies (if needed).

What does my child need to bring each day?

To ensure your child is comfortable throughout the session, please pack:

  • A packed lunch (if they are staying over the lunch hour).

  • Daily consumables if required (such as nappies and wipes).

  • A change of clothes (things can get beautifully messy when we are learning!).

  • Appropriate outdoor gear (a coat for rainy days or a sun hat and suncream for warmer weather).

How do you approach learning and play?

As a teacher-led preschool, we deliver a fun, engaging curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) frameworks. Our enthusiastic staff focus on child-led learning, creativity, and building confidence through outdoor play, storytelling, and hands-on activities.

Can we come and visit the preschool?
