Our Ethos

At Little Learners, we celebrate the beautiful "one-of-a-kindness" of every child. We know that every little one arrives with their own unique talents, personality, and way of seeing the world. We have devised our curriculum with this in mind.

Where Play Meets Purpose

  • Child-Led Exploration: We leave plenty of room for imaginative and "messy" creativity play where children can lead the way. We will be bringing the curriculum to life for your child by visiting local shops to learn how to do a transaction, visiting the farm to learn about animal care, and going on focused walks to spot language in our environment or a colour walk to explore the variety in nature. Most of all, we believe that learning should be fun, it should be exciting, and it should inspire and engage children. Children learn best when they are having fun.

  • Inspired Teaching: Our teacher-led activities are carefully planned to help your child to learn and grow, all delivered in a fun and engaging way. We believe the early years are important for developing all these skills for the future: communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and physical development. There is also early maths, literacy, expressive arts, and understanding the world.

  • Personalised Growth: We observe, reflect, and plan specifically for your child, ensuring every day builds on their latest needs. There will be time each day for the staff to feed back on progress and to plan exciting activities for the future that will build on what they have already learnt and help with further development.
